Imma Sarnacchiaro was born in Naples in 1969; she graduated in "Literature and Philosophy" at the Federico II University of Naples and after graduation she obtained a Master in Strategic Marketing and Product Management at the ISC in Rome.

He wants to create a unique, particular and recognizable brand and distribute it in the most beautiful boutiques in the world.

Her sensitivity towards everything that is handmade, but above all exclusive and elegant, pushes her to create a line of clothes that in a short time becomes an icon of style and sophisticated good taste. She thus becomes aware of possessing a strong artistic vein and wants to capitalize on the studies made on the product and on how to present it.

Enraptured by the views of Capri, its caves and the wonderful creatures that inhabit that sea, she elaborates the idea of the ceramic hedgehog. She presents her project to her husband Fabio Majello, who, from the first moment, enthusiastically supports it, proudly focusing on the quality of Ricciocaprese.

Imma does not define herself as a designer in the pure sense of the term. Starting from the development of the idea, she follows the entire manufacturing process, from the embryonic stage to its complete realization. She outlines every single step, from the decoration to the choice of materials and colors, through the packaging and presentation of the product. A constant creative process, which follows the entire supply chain. Imma enjoys working with the most disparate materials, such as ceramic, crystal and stones, maintaining an extraordinary harmony of colors and shapes in each of her creations.

This is what makes the Ricciocaprese brand synonymous with excellence for a constantly evolving history of value.

The Ricciocaprese workshop is located in the heart of Naples, still today the cradle of expert craftsmen and excellent decorators from the famous Capodimonte school of art. Every single creation comes from an idea or a simple suggestion of the designer. Then the painstaking process of realization begins, each Ricciocaprese sculpture is handcrafted by the expert hands of ceramic decorators.

In this way the “raw piece” is obtained which, after a complex drying process, loses its initial plasticity, fixing its shape and its durability. The dried piece is subjected to a first firing, the famous "biscottatura" and then decorated, hand-glazed and put back in the oven. Even the wonderful Ricciocaprese colors are the result of hand-made blends, which testify to the uniqueness of the production.
